Knoxville, IA - August 13, 2009...

107 of the worlds best sprint car drivers have made their attempt at qualify for the Knoxville Nationals.  Silva Motorsports with driver Shane Stewart, have themselves locked in to the $150,000.00 to win A-main, and will line up on Saturday outside the 7th row in 14th position.  Before they wait for their turn to compete for the richest purse in sprint car racing, Shane will get one more opportunity to display his talents in the $10,000.00 to win DDNi Knoxville World Challenge on Friday.  The invitational event lines up the best drivers from the United States, Australia, and Canada.    

In TJ's words:  "We'll be racing the World Challenge event on Friday and we're in the A-main for Saturday.  That is really cool.  The race tonight(Thursday) was a good one with slide jobs everywhere.  Tim Kaeding won it and he is always exciting.  Stevie Smith is the high points guy and he is fast.  Our (qualifying)night was a long one, so we just kinda slept in and then got the car cleaned up and ready for Friday.  There is so many people around here it gets kind of chaotic but it's fun."
